Rice Custard With Leftover Rice* - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 c. cooked rice
1/4 c. raisins (optional)
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Combine eggs, sugar and salt.
Gradually add milk, stirring. Add cooked rice, raisins and vanilla.
Pour into greased (with oleo or butter) casserole.
Set casserole in pan of hot water in oven.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
Remove from oven.
Stir. Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon and dot with butter.
Bake 30 to 40 minutes until set.
Makes 6 servings.
