Stratta - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices toasted bread without crusts
    2 1/2 c. diced ham, cooked sausage, cooked chicken, browned hamburger or leftover cubed small pot roast
    1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    5 eggs, beaten well
    1 c. cream of celery, mushroom or broccoli soup
    1 c. milk
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 or 3 dashes fresh ground pepper
    2 c. frozen broccoli, green beans, carrots, peas or wax beans
    1 pkg. dry onion soup
Preparation
    Line a
    13
    x
    9-inch
    greased
    baking pan with toasted bread. Layer
    diced meat on bottom, veggies, cheese and onion soup. Pour
    soup/milk
    mixture
    over all and top with toasted bread shapes cut
    with
    a
    cookie cutter.
    Cover with foil and let set overnight
    in
    refrigerator.
    Then
    bake the next day just before guests arrive.
    Serve with a tossed salad.
