Black-Eyed Peas With Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. fresh black-eyed peas
    4 oz. salt pork
    1 lb. fresh okra
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Shell and wash peas in a heavy pot.
    Cover with water and add salt pork and salt.
    Bring to boil, cook on low until tender.
    Wash okra and place on top of peas.
    Cook for 5 minutes and turn off, leaving okra to steam until fork-tender.
    Do not overcook okra as okra will become slimy.
