French Market Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Nine Bean Soup Mix
    2 qt. water
    1 ham hock
    6 ribs celery, chopped
    2 c. uncooked chicken, cut in bite size pieces
    1 link sausage, parboiled and sliced
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 Tbsp. dried parsley
    2 bay leaves
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained
    1/2 tsp. red pepper
    1 clove garlic, minced
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Soak beans in water to cover overnight. Drain beans.
    Place in crock-pot with 2 quarts water and ham hock.
    Add celery, chicken, sausage, thyme, parsley and bay leaves.
    Cook on high for 1 hour. Reduce to low and cook for 6 hours or until beans are tender.
    Add remaining ingredients and cook on low for 1 hour.
