Grape Jelly Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or shortening
    1 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    1/2 glass grape jelly
    1 c. wine or 1 apple (optional)
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. melted charlotte
    1/2 c. citron
    2 1/2 lb. raisins
    1/2 lb. Crysdale cherry
    1/2 lb. crystal pineapple
    1 Tbsp. orange peel
    2 Tbsp. orange paste
Preparation
    Mix shortening and sugar well, add eggs, one at a time, then jelly,
    cinnamon,
    nutmeg, allspice, melted charlotte and orange paste, sift
    flour\tand
    baking powder.
    Roll fruits in 1/2 cup flour, add flour
    1 cup at a time, add fruit and flour and vanilla.
    Bake
    slowly
    1
    1/4
    hours or until done.
    When tested, pour wine
    over
    cake.
    When cold, put in a container, cut raw apple on
    top, add spoonfuls of wine over it, then put a tight lid over it, for two to three weeks before Christmas.
