Wrapped Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter (no substitute)
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white corn syrup
    1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cook slowly until soft ball forms at 240\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Add vanilla and pecans.
    Pour into buttered pan; cool and cut into 3/4-inch squares and wrap in wax paper.
