Seafoam - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 egg whites
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. white Karo
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
6 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Preparation

In a saucepan, put sugar, water, Karo and salt; boil until 215\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
Meanwhile, beat egg whites until stiff, adding cream of tartar to keep stiff.
When sugar mixture is ready, add egg whites to it and beat for 5 minutes; adding powdered sugar in the first 3 minutes.
Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Set until cold.
Yields 60 to 80 pieces.
