Pear Crumbleold Trees Do Not Bear Old Fruit - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
1 can sliced pears or 2 or 3 fresh pears that have been cooked nice and slow.
1/2 cup chopped nut (optional)
Preparation

Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, soda and salt. Add egg and stir as well as possible. Add pears and nuts. Some of the juice from the pears will moisten the flour mixture. Place in a greased baking dish. Bake in moderate oven 375\u00b0 about 45 minutes. The top will be brown. Serve plain or top with whipped cream or ice cream. Serves 6 to 8...4 if you like pears.
