Apple Butter Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped black walnuts
    3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. apple butter
Preparation
    Stir together flour, salt, soda, spices, raisins and walnuts. Beat butter and sugar together until fluffy.
    Beat eggs, one at a time.
    Combine buttermilk and apple butter.
    Add alternately with flour mixture, mixing well after each addition.
    Pour into two greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Remove from pan and cool thoroughly.
    Frost with Creamy Vanilla Frosting.
