Cauliflower Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cauliflower
    1 10-oz. pkg. tiny peas
    1/2 c. sliced pimiento, optional
    1 c. diced ham, optional
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. water or milk
    1 c. grated cheese
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash pepper
Preparation
    Remove leaves and core from cauliflower and steam the whole head until tender.
    Make a sauce by melting the butter, and adding the flour to blend.
    Add the milk and cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Add the pimiento, ham, or both and heat through.
    Add the cheese and stir until melted.
    To serve, place the steamed cauliflower in a bowl or dish and pour the sauce over it.
    This makes a very nice centerpiece dish.
    Be sure the cauliflower is not over cooked so it will stay together as a whole center.
