Ingredients

1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. butterscotch pudding (not instant)
1 egg
3/4 c. oil
1 pkg. cake mix (yellow or white)
1 pkg. butterscotch chips (12 oz.)
1/2 c. pecans
Preparation

Cook pudding according to directions.
Set aside to cool; beat egg and add oil.
Add egg and oil mixture to cooled pudding.
Use large bowl.
Add mixture to cake mix.
Beat until smooth.
Mixture will be rather thick.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan and sprinkle top of cake mixture evenly with chips and nuts. Bake 36 minutes at 300\u00b0.
Bake longer if necessary, but do not raise temperature of oven.
