Icebox Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. cucumbers
    1 qt. onions
    4 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 1/3 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/3 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers and onions in a gallon jug.
    Put spices and sugar over mixture.
    Heat
    vinegar\tand
    salt.
    Pour
    over mixture.
    Sugar may be added
    a little at a time as vinegar is poured over mixture.
    Keep in refrigerator.
