Paper Bag Barbecue Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. melted vegetable shortening
1 c. barbecue sauce
1 (3 lb.) frying chicken, cut up
Preparation

Open a heavy paper bag (no holes in it).
Place in large baking pan on its side.
Brush melted shortening over inside of bag with pastry brush; cover well.
Place chicken pieces, skin up, in single layer on the bottom of the bag.
Spoon barbecue sauce evenly over chicken.
Fold open end of bag over twice.
Secure closure with paper clips.
Place pan in cold oven.
Set oven at 350\u00b0.
Bake for 1 3/4 hours; do not open bag during cooking.
Remove pan.
Slit open bag.
Remove chicken to platter.
Spoon extra sauce from bag over chicken.
Serve.
