Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    1 stick oleo
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand condensed milk
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. pecan chips
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix as directed on box.
    Pour half of batter into 9 x 13-inch pan, greased and floured.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0. Melt oleo, caramels and condensed milk.
    Mix well and spread on cooled cake.
    Put chocolate chips and pecans over top.
    Then spread remaining batter over that.
    Bake for 20 minutes more.
