Buttery Cinnamon Skillet Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. butter or margarine
1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4 medium cooking apples, cored, peeled or unpeeled and cut in half
Preparation

In a 10-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Stir in sugar and cornstarch; mix well.
Add remaining ingredients. Cover!
Cook over medium heat, spooning sauce over apples occasionally, until apples are fork-tender and sauce is thickened (12 to 15 minutes).
To serve, place 2 apple halves in individual dessert dishes; spoon 1/2 cup sauce over each half.
Yields 4 servings and 2 cups sauce.
