Patio Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    3/4 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. mayonnaise
    6 c. cooked, diced potatoes
    3 hard cooked eggs, chopped
Preparation
    Cook and stir first nine ingredients over low heat until thickened.
    Remove from stove and blend in onion and mayonnaise. Cool.
