Green Tomato Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. green tomatoes, thinly sliced
    4 c. lime
    5 to 6 drops oil of cloves
    5 to 6 drops oil of cinnamon
    2 gal. water
    5 lb. sugar
    3 pt. vinegar
    green food coloring
Preparation
    Soak 7 pounds thinly sliced green tomatoes in 2 gallons of water and 4 cups of lime for 24 hours.
    Drain and soak 4 hours in fresh water.
    Change water every hour.
    Drain again.
