Boiled Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. corn syrup
    3/4 c. water
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 stiffly beaten egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cook water, sugar, corn syrup and salt over low heat.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Cook until soft-ball stage.
    Gradually add hot syrup to beaten egg whites, beating constantly.
    Add vanilla and beat until frosting is spreading consistency.
