Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. oatmeal (quick oats)
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. dark brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Let stand for 20 minutes. Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and oatmeal mixture.
    Mix in dry ingredients. Pour in 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
