Hummos(Arabic) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can chickpeas
1 large clove garlic
1/2 small long green hot pepper (optional)
1 large lemon (juice of lemon, not bottle juice)
2 Tbsp. tahini (ground sesame)
1 small bunch fresh parsley
olive oil
1 tsp. salt to taste
Preparation

Heat beans.
Drain.
Put garlic, hot pepper, parsley, lemon juice and tahini in blender or food processor and chop.
Add beans and salt.
Blend to fine consistency.
Reserve a few whole beans for garnish.
Add a little water if too thick.
Spread in large, flat plate.
Make a mound between center and edge of plate in hummos for olive oil.
Garnish with leftover whole chickpeas and sprigs of parsley.
Serve with warm pita bread to be dunked into food.
Serves about 4.
