Watergate Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9 oz.) carton Cool Whip
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
    1 small box instant pistachio pudding
    1 c. small marshmallows
    1/2 c. cherries (optional)
Preparation
    Mix last 4 ingredients and then add Cool Whip.
    Chill in refrigerator.
    (Fruit cocktail may be used in place of pineapple.)
