Small Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted plain flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. butter (2 sticks)
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter.
    Add sugar.
    Cream together.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Alternate flour and buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into 4 greased and wax paper-lined layer pans.
    Makes four thick layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
