Sliced Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    15 medium sized cucumbers, sliced thin
    1/2 c. salt
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in mild salt solution using 1/2 cup salt. Drain well.
    Boil the syrup made with remaining ingredients for 5 minutes.
    Can while hot in sterilized jars.
