Tomato Filled Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium yellow squash
    1 large red or green pepper
    3 tomatoes, diced
    2 medium onions, diced
    3 slices bacon, chopped (does best when slightly frozen)
    1/2 lb. cheese, grated
    1 tsp. salt
    fine dry bread crumbs
    butter
Preparation
    Steam squash until tender (not overdone).
    Cut in half lengthwise.
    Scoop out seeds.
    Combine remaining ingredients except bread crumbs and butter.
    Spoon mixture into squash.
    Top with bread crumbs, which have been slightly browned in butter. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until done.
