Beef And Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck
    2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans
    1 (13 oz.) can beef broth
    1 c. canned crushed tomatoes
    2 c. shredded cabbage
Preparation
    In a heavy 3-quart saucepan, brown the meat over medium-hot heat, breaking it up. Spoon excess fat in a small bowl.
    Mash 4 cups beans and liquid into paste.
    Add to saucepan with remaining ingredients. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat.
    Reduce heat to moderate and simmer 30 to 40 minutes until cabbage is tender.
    Makes 7 cups.
