Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp. vanilla or almond extract
1/4 c. cornstarch
3 c. milk
2 Tbsp. butter, softened
1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

Stir together sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan.
Blend milk and egg yolks together.
Gradually stir into sugar mixture. Cook over medium heat.
Blend in butter and extract.
Stir in 3/4 cup flaked coconut.
Sprinkle remainder of flaked coconut over whipped cream on pie.
Chill pie for 2 hours prior to serving.
