Homemade Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. instant coffee
    3 c. boiling water
    5 1/2 c. sugar
    1 vanilla bean or 1 tsp. vanilla
    1 fifth 80 proof vodka
Preparation
    Dissolve coffee in boiling water; add sugar and vanilla bean or extract.
    Boil for 5 minutes.
    Cool.
    When cold, add vodka. Stir.
    Store in large bottle or jug for about 30 days.
    Serve as a dessert sauce or as a liqueur.
