Apple Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. raisins
1 c. chopped apples
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Cut in shortening.
Combine egg and milk.
Add to flour mixture.
Mix until flour is well moistened.
Do not overmix.
Fold in raisins and apples.
Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over batter.
Bake for 20 minutes in 375\u00b0 oven.
Yields 12 muffins.
Serve hot.
