Maine Molasses Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. molasses
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 Tbsp. melted butter
juice of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Beat all ingredients together and turn into an unbaked pastry shell.
Bake in a hot oven (450\u00b0) for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to moderate (350\u00b0) and bake 30 minutes longer, or until inserted knife comes out clean.
Makes 1 one-crust (9-inch) pie.
