Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    heaping gal. (7 lb. approximately) sliced cucumbers
    2 gal. water
    2 c. lime
    2 qt. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. cloves (Mom used allspice instead)
    8 c. sugar
    3 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mixed spices
Preparation
    Mix cold.
    Put pickles in mixture and set overnight.
    Next day, heat mixture and boil about 35 minutes.
    Seal.
