Mystery Pecan Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecans
25 round butter type crackers, coarsely crumbled (1 1/3 c.)
Whipped cream or Cool Whip
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9-inch pie plate or coat with cooking spray. Beat egg whites until foamy.
Add cream of tartar and beat until soft peaks begin to form. Gradually add the sugar, beating continuously. Add the vanilla and mix. Fold in the pecans and crackers. Spoon into prepared pie plate. Bake 20 minutes. Cool on a rack. When completely cooled, top with whipped cream or Cool Whip. Refrigerate.
