Almond Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
4 egg whites
4 egg yolks
1 c. milk
1 Tbsp. butter
baked pie shell
4 Tbsp. (rounded) cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, 4 tablespoons cornstarch, water and salt in double boiler.
Cook 10 minutes after mixture turns transparent. Whip egg whites until stiff.
Add almond flavoring.
Add this mixture to cornstarch mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Put in baked pie shell.
