Celery Almond Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stalk celery
    1 small jar pimento
    1 small bag almonds, sliced
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cut up celery in small pieces.
    Cook until tender.
    Add dash of salt.
    Put in casserole and add chestnuts, toast almonds and layer also pimentos.
    Pour soup, undiluted, over top.
    Pour bread crumbs over top.
    Put few pats of butter on top.
    Sprinkle with cheese, if desired.
