Baked Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk, scalded
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 eggs
Preparation
    Caramelize the sugar and pour into milk.
    Stir until dissolved. Add the vanilla and eggs.
    Pour into custard cups, set in pan of boiling water and bake at 300\u00b0 until silver knife comes out clean.
