Pineapple Astoria - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can crushed pineapple
    1 pkg. miniature marshmallows
    2 pkg. lemon gelatin
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 egg
    dash of salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1 can flaked coconut
    1 c. chopped nuts
    maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Drain pineapple;
    reserve
    juice.
    Line
    a
    9 x 13-inch dish with pineapple.
    Top pineapple generously with marshmallows. Dissolve
    gelatin in boiling water and pour over marshmallows. When cool, refrigerate; add water to pineapple juice to make 1 cup.
    Mix
    cornstarch
    with a little of the liquid. Beat egg well.
    Mix\tall
    together
    and
    add salt and butter. Cook
    this mixture, stirring constantly until thickened, then cool thoroughly.
    Whip\tcream
    and
    blend
    2
    mixtures.
    Top gelatin mixture
    with
    it.\tTop
    this with coconut, nuts and a few\tcut up\tmaraschino
    cherries.
    Refrigerate until serving time.\tServes 15.
