Parsley Almond Rice(Recipe Served At Club Meetings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chicken broth or water
    1 c. long grain rice
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
    1/3 c. chopped green bell pepper
    1/4 c. chopped scallions with tops
    1/4 c. slivered almonds
    1/4 c. chopped Italian (flat-leaf) parsley
Preparation
    Heat chicken broth in medium saucepan over medium-high heat to boiling.
    Stir in rice and salt.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Simmer, covered, until rice is tender and all liquid has been absorbed, 13 to 15 minutes.
