Mock Strawberry Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients

6 c. mashed fresh figs
3 c. sugar
2 pkg. strawberry jello

Preparation

Crush figs and mix all ingredients in large pot.
Cook over medium heat until mixture starts to bubble.
Reduce heat and continue to cook 45 minutes, stirring often.
Seal in sterilized jars.
Makes 4 to 5 pints.
