Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. white corn syrup
    1/3 c. water
    1/4 c. butter
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. vanilla
    3 qt. popcorn
Preparation
    Mix sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and salt in saucepan. Cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
    Continue cooking without stirring until syrup forms a brittle ball in cold water.
    Add vanilla, stirring only enough to mix thoroughly.
    Place popped corn in large bowl.
    Pour syrup slowly over popped corn.
    Form into balls and place on waxed paper.
    Makes 12 balls.
