Date Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 medium eggs
1 c. dates, chopped fine
1/2 c. nuts
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together, add Crisco, milk and vanilla; beat 2 minutes.
Add 2 eggs and beat 2 minutes more.
Mix in thoroughly, dates and nuts.
Put into pans that have been greased and floured.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes.
