Lemon Pecan Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box brown sugar
    1 lb. oleo or butter (can use 1/2 of each)
    6 egg yolks, beaten
    2 c. plain flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 oz. bottle lemon extract
    1 qt. chopped pecans
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    2 c. flour
    6 egg whites, beaten
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and oleo until smooth.
    Add beaten egg yolks.
    Mix well.
    Combine 2 cups flour and baking powder.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Add lemon extract and mix good.
    Coat pecans, pineapple and cherries with the other 2 cups flour.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Fold into batter the beaten egg whites.
    Cover and let stand overnight.
    Next day, bake in floured and greased tube pan at 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
