Fried Cheese Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. Cheddar cheese
    1/3 c. cornmeal
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt or seasoned salt
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Remove cheese from refrigerator 30 to 60 minutes before starting
    recipe.
    Cut cheese into 1/2-inch thick slices.
    Cut slices into 1 to
    1
    1/2-inch
    pieces.
    Mix
    cornmeal
    mixture coating all sides.\tCover loosely and refrigerate for 3 hours. Heat oil in saucepan or
    deep
    fryer
    to 375\u00b0.
    Place 6 cheese sticks into hot oil
    and
    fry.
    Turn occasionally until golden brown (about 1 to 2
    minutes)
    and\tdrain.\tServe hot or cold. Do not over fry or
    cheese
    will
    leak
    out.
    Makes
    about
    20 appetizers.
