Kids' Krunchy Krazy Korn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. popped popcorn
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. peanuts (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 250\u00b0.
    Place popcorn on 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.
    In large saucepan, combine sugar, margarine and corn syrup. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; simmer for 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour mixture evenly over popcorn; mix well.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 30 minutes, stirring twice during baking.
    Remove from pan immediately.
    Cool on waxed paper.
    Store in tightly covered container.
    Makes 8 cups.
