Christmas Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 to 2 Tbsp. milk
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. coconut
3 c. quick oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream shortening, add sugars and cream well.
Add beaten eggs, vanilla and milk.
Add flour sifted with soda, baking powder and salt.
Add raisins, coconut and pecans; mix.
Then add oatmeal last.
Mixture will be thick.
Drop on ungreased cookie sheets, flatten slightly and bake about 10 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
Makes about 7 dozen cookies.
