Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sweet milk
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
plain flour
Preparation

Heat
milk
to scalding;
dissolve sugar and shortening in milk in large covered bowl.
Let cool until lukewarm.
Put yeast in small amount of warm water, enough to dissolve yeast. When milk cools to lukewarm, add yeast.
Stir in enough flour until it's
like
cake
batter.
Cover
and let set for 1 1/2 hours. Then
add
salt, soda and baking powder.
Stir in more flour,
it won't be of kneading consistency.
Leave in refrigerator
at least
2 hours.
Can be left overnight.
Take out; roll out rolls, let rise 2 hours before baking.
