Okra Fritters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. cornmeal
1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 large egg, lightly beaten
3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red pepper
2 c. sliced okra
vegetable oil
Preparation

Combine the first 9 ingredients; stir in the okra.
Pour oil to depth of 2 inches in Dutch oven.
Heat to 350\u00b0.
Drop mixture by spoonful into hot oil.
Cook until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towel.
Sprinkle with salt, if desired.
Serve immediately.
