Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 heaping Tbsp. self-rising flour
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
1 c. canned coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix all ingredients (except coconut and vanilla) in heavy saucepan. Cook until thick, stirring to prevent scorching.
Take off heat; add coconut and vanilla flavoring.
Have pie shell browned ahead of time.
Pour mixture into shell and make meringue.
