Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. oleo
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. quick oats
    1 c. light brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    raisins (add if desired)
Preparation
    Bring water to a boil. Add oats to boiling water (turn off heat) and let oats stand for 20 minutes. Cream sugar and butter. Beat eggs into mixture. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture. Add oats and beat well. Bake in greased 8-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
