Old-Fashioned Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. dried navy beans
    2 qt. water
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 Tbsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. prepared mustard
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/4 c. catsup
    1/2 lb. salt pork or bacon
Preparation
    Wash beans.
    Add water, cover and heat to boiling.
    Simmer 30 minutes.
    Drain; keep liquid.
    Place onion on bottom of bean pot or 10-cup casserole.
    Combine next 7 ingredients and put into bean pot.
    Add the beans and enough hot liquid or water to cover. Arrange meat on top, cover and bake at 250\u00b0 for 7 to 8 hours.
