Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1 c. mashed bananas
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk which has soda stirred into it. Lastly, add mashed bananas and vanilla. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes in 9 x 13 pan or 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 cookie sheet.
