Linda Padula'S Pecan Pie Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    1 c. cold margarine or butter
    1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. almond brickle chips (LaRose Market has them)
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Set oven to 350\u00b0 (325\u00b0 for glass dish).
    In medium bowl, combine flour and sugar.
    Cut in margarine until crumbly.
    Press firmly in 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 15 minutes.
    Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat Eagle Brand, milk, egg and vanilla.
    Stir in chips and pecans.
    Spread evenly over crust and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool and cut into bars.
    Store, covered in container.
    Yields 36 bars.
